My questions to Mr. Consalvo:
1. back in 1985, the concept car - Proteo was introduced but never went into production. That car being a flagship having a coupe convertible. The 164 evolved as the flagship version though. Would Alfa Romeo take upon that concept and manufacture the new flagship 169 in the same version.

2. The replacement Busso's V6 engine remains one of our expected engine from Alfa Romeo. Do share the ideas and its planned production period as well as the type of model it will reside in.

Ciao Rashid, I know you had a very important role in the Balocco workshop last June...
You are asking something about the past…and something about the future!
The Proteo was a prototype developed to test some specific technical solutions and, above all, to define the guidelines that became inspirational for the Spider and GTV of the 90’s.
The interesting thing is that the technical solution has been developed on production cars range.
Infact, Proteo had small circular headlamps embedded in the bonnet; to replicate the same effect, Alfa Romeo used a traditional headlamp but behind the bonnet and, having two holes, it replicated the shape of the advanced front part of the Proteo.
This is a good example on how sometimes it is useful to develop a concept car before being able to produce the real car!!!
Recently, we went further beyond, considering that the 8C has been produced exactly as the prototype in the definitive version.
